  • We offer a wide range of audiology services including locum clinic cover (short-term, regular, or long-term such as maternity leave), ear health services (including microsuction wax removal), tinnitus rehabilitation, auditory processing disorder (APD) assessment and therapy, full diagnostic hearing assessments, hearing aid fittings (across all major manufacturers), supervision for provisional audiologists and professional mentorship.   • For clinic-based services, we provide our skills and expertise but use your clinic’s equipment and systems.

  • Clinics provide the consultation space, administrative support, access to patient records (usually through your CRM), and any required clinical equipment. If we are new to your clinic, a short orientation is helpful. Enquire now

  • Simply email us with the dates you require cover. We’ll confirm availability from our team. We provide full national cover. Katrin and Jess are based in the South Island, Christchurch, and Bernadett is based in the North Island, Wellington. (We each provide nationwide support).   • Most clinics book us for blocks of 4–5 days at a time, though 2–3 day bookings or ongoing weekly sessions are also possible. Advance booking is always recommended, but short-notice cover may be possible depending on availability.

  • Yes. Katrin is an accredited NZAS supervisor with extensive leadership experience, including roles as Vice President of NZAS, Lead Examiner, OSCE Examiner, CCC Support Lead, and Convenor of the Membership, Examination and Supervision Committee. Katrin provides structured mentorship, oversight, and assessment to ensure the provisional Audiologist or Audiometrist is well prepared to sit their final OSCE exam.

  • Hobson Audiology Consultants work on an hourly rate. When accommodation, flights, or travel are required, these costs are covered by the hiring clinic. All travel arrangements and associated costs are discussed and agreed upon in advance to ensure full transparency.

  • Yes. Travel and accommodation are covered by the booking clinic. We generally travel the day before to maximise clinic time, but sometimes same-day travel is possible with a later start depending on flight availability etc. We do not charge for travel time.
